Our Services
1. BRIDGING FAMILIES ON THE CANCER JOURNEY
Our wellness program is designed to provide survivors, children of survivors, and their caregivers with practical tools that will aid in their ability to navigate through five critical components of their recovery: Nutrition, Fitness, Coping with Cancer, Mindfulness, and Therapy, all in a fun-filled way that is age appropriate for the children of the survivors. |
3. KATHY HARVEY SCHOLARSHIP
Kathy Harvey was a dedicated volunteer who passed away unexpectedly. In Kathy's honor, each year, we select a high school graduate, that has been impacted by cancer to receive this award. Recipients must also complete at least 10 hours of community service for "The Pink Queen Foundation". |
4. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR CO-PAYMENTS & LIVING EXPENSES
The survivor may not have met their deductible and oftentimes are faced with higher copayments for medical services that are required to support their journey to recovery. Unfortunately, if the patient is unable to render payment, the testing or treatment is often delayed and ultimately impacts their recovery. We provide financial assistance to offset the cost of medical care when funding is available. |
5. GROCERIES AND GAS VOUCHERS Cancer is a very expensive disease that often impacts the patient and their family beyond the recovery period. We assist families that are struggling to feed their families by referring them to our resource partners that manage food pantries. Contingent on available funding, we also provide families with gift card(s) for groceries and other essential items that are needed. Gas cards are also imperative, at times, we have families that are required to commute out of town/state for specialized treatments on a weekly basis.

6. EMOTIONAL SUPPORT
The emotional toil that cancer bears is often overwhelming. The uncertainty of the diagnosis and its subsequent outcome often creates increased anxiety, anger, and a sense of hopelessness. We have partnerships with therapists that specialize in providing therapeutic services for the psychological and emotional well-being of cancer survivor and their families. |
